On the eastern side of I23 looms the rugged tower of the Iteration-X System. This heavily reinforced building with it's few windows and sharp angles is in stark contrast to the other facilities of the construct. While all the other buildings have to apparent security perimeter (which doesn't mean that there is none!) the Iteration-X building is surrounded by monowire fences and an obvious 'kill zone' perimeter full of concealed gun emplacements and sensor arrays. Neither is the building as much an architectural marvel as the others, utility and pragmatism rather than design innovations characterize this sub-construct. The inside of the tower reflects the stark austerity of it's facade. Five levels of construction facilities, workspaces and computer labs are laid out around a central computer core that runs through all the five surface levels and continues below into the three subterranean levels. The living quarters here are all uniformely spartan and reduced to the most basic necessities for living. Regardless of rank, all Iteration-X members have the same cell like quarters, work - not comfort - is the purpose of these people. Consequently the workspaces and computer laboratories are equipped with the most advanced hypertech facilities. Words are only rarely exchanged here, the majority of communication between people runs over their DEI networks and through the hive mind of the computer core. The sounds of the machines, the hum of the computer core and the beeps of various terminals are the only sounds here.
The rooftop not only boasts an array of concealed weapon emplacements, but also a pyramid roof that can be folded away to reveal a landing platform large enough for two ARCs ready for dispatch at any time. Below the ground three levels of utility roomss, storage facilities, holding cells and computer rooms have been carved into the bedrock with industrial lasers. The main computer system of the I23 Construct is hosted here, if they wanted, Iteration-X could shut down the whole construct at once. Only the respective sub-construct systems necessary for research, data-processing, security systems and personnel records are independently hosted on their sites. The whole construct's utility systems are hosted here. All sorts of weapons and cyborgs wait here for their eventual deployment and reality criminals are held in high security cells for interrogation or to await their termination. The members of the other Conventions are rarely seen inside the Iteration-X System building. The monastic austerity and the negation of everything personal is too extreme even for most Technocrats.
